The Effect of Mangosteen Varieties as Dyes and ZnO Nanostructures Mixture to DSSC - Dye-sensitized Solar Cell Characteristics

Dye-sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) based on ZnO nanostructures has been fabricated using mangosteen peel extract as dyes the Yonekawa method and Grätzel method. This research synthesized with nanoparticles, nanorods, nanoflower, nanotree morphologies. Two different morphological structures of were mixed ratio 25:75, 50:50, 75:25, performance DSSC was investigated. The dye used in extracted from varieties obtained Blitar, Purwakarta, Gede Bage. highest anthocyanin levels Bage sample a value 105.774 mg L −1 . results I-V curve measurement showed that most stable values open-circuit voltage (V oc ) short circuit current (I sc Blitar 0.312 V 3 μA respectively for (0.001 28 % efficiency) well 0.222 5.5 (0.00264 efficiency). best efficiency mixtures nanoparticles (75) : nanotrees (25) 0.034 77 (0.285 , 27.5 I FF 26.5 %)
